About Reading Roots
I am a certified K–3 teacher with a master’s degree in special education and experience providing targeted reading intervention for struggling readers. I specialize in Science of Reading–based instruction, focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
I work closely with families to support students who need extra reading support, including students receiving Title I services or those who benefit from structured literacy instruction. Sessions are individualized, engaging, and designed to build both skills and confidence.

About Me
Tutoring Services
I’m Jennifer Bazeley (M.Ed.), a certified elementary teacher (K-8) and Mild/Moderate (K-12) intervention specialist offering online reading tutoring for elementary and middle students. I use Science of Reading–based instruction to support phonics, fluency, and comprehension. My sessions are individualized, structured, and designed to help struggling readers build confidence and skills. I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have worked with students in grades K-12 in general, special, and alternative school settings. Additionally, I have a certificate in assistive technology, and have completed some post graduate degree coursework in order to better understand the Science of Reading. My mission in creating this website is to help bring foundational literacy instruction into the virtual world.
